About Pedro Mayorga
A Ventura California native, Pedro Mayorga has spent his lifetime dedicated to the world of horses. Taught to ride at the tender age of 5, his passion was instilled by the influence of his father and further flourished under the nurturing and guidance of his uncle in Mexico.
Pedro’s equestrian journey led him to Moorpark, California, where he played an integral role in an equine vet hospital, immersing himself in the care and well-being of these majestic animals.
His dedication and expertise were further honed when he assumed the role of assistant trainer at the LA Equestrian Center. There, Pedro worked closely with professionals and enthusiasts alike, refining his skills in the art of horse training.
With a heart committed to the welfare of animals, Pedro continued his journey as a vet assistant in the Los Angeles County area, expanding his knowledge of equine health and care.
Today, Pedro stands on the cusp of a new chapter in his journey, as he shares his vast experience and passion at the Bell Canyon Equestrian Center in California.
Imparting his wisdom to eager learners, Pedro specializes in colt starting, Western riding, and the rich tradition of Mexican horsemanship.
Outside of the arena, Pedro finds joy in the company of his wife, family and friends. His life is also enriched by the loyal companionship of his cattle dog Buckaroo, who can often be found assisting with training. Pedro’s journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the equestrian world and the meaningful relationships that bring warmth and laughter to his life.
